Since its beginnings, Art7ten has been involved in contemporary art exhibitions and projects. This autumn marks a new chapter with the opening of JE, a small art space in Izumisano, Osaka.

The name “JE” brings together my grandfather’s name, whose connection to this place led me to carry it forward, the idea of trees, and je, the French word for “I.” It also reflects my own practice, which began in France. Located in a quiet setting by the river, JE will present exhibitions by artists from Japan and abroad, creating a space to reflect on the local landscape and environment, and the relationship between people and nature.
